Welcome to my personal blog where I share my experience, tips, information, and useful resources to help you with your online marketing needs. With the advent of the internet, digital marketing has become a core component in successfully promoting one’s business, products, or services.

I’ve been in the online marketing space since early 2009. Since then, digital marketing has evolved a lot to include other components of online marketing, especially social media marketing and video marketing. Over the past couple of years, I have particularly invested a considerable amount of time honing my video creation and marketing skills.

Understanding your business and customer needs: you are the one who knows your business and products and services inside and out. By taking the time to fully understand what you’re offering and your customer needs, you can identify your target audience. By putting yourself in your customer’s shoes and identifying how you can meet and exceed their needs.

Developing a marketing strategy: will help you determine your approach in terms of your message, your marketing mix and the marketing solutions. Part of your marketing strategy involves analyzing the market and your competition. The marketing strategy that you develop will form the foundation of your marketing plan.

Creating a marketing plan: will help build a roadmap and will include detailed goals and activities required to meet your marketing objectives. Based on the marketing goals and activities identified, you will be able to set a budget with which to meet those marketing objectives. As part of the marketing plan, you will also need to keep track of how to measure your goals. This will in turn, help to review and revise your plan in order to achieve success.

There are many online avenues in terms of marketing your business, products and services. Social media will play a huge role in reaching your targeted audience. However, there are many different social media platforms that are popular and not all may be a good fit for your marketing mix. Therefore, it’s important to take the time to understand each of these social media platforms and see what will work best for your business.

Having said so, incorporating the right social media networks in your marketing will help in promoting and growing your business. Below are some interesting and eye-opening marketing statistics from Hubspot which reveals the need to effectively use social media marketing.
